Diet
Himakru are vegetarian, meaning their diet is mostly plants, berries, and fruits. They are put off by the smell of meat, even though their sense of smell is poor. Those who reside in Outer Katahirun are more tolerant of the smell of meat, but still will not eat them.
Reproduction
Himakru reproduce asexually, and therefore do not require the sexual method of reproduction. They can, however, still bond and then mate for life. The bond is spiritual, and is therefore considered sacred. If a Himakru loses their partner, then they will be unable to find another partner.
They first touch an Angabon flower with their nose for a couple of minutes. Then they will eat a special kind of fruit called the Soulfruit. Then they will go into hibernation for over two years until they are awakened when they lay their egg. The egg is then left in the protection of a Katahi dragon as the Himakru leave their nest. They can only do this method once in their lifetime. Once the egg has been hatched by the warmth of the Katahi dragon, the little Himakru is welcomed by the Matriarch of Katahirun. Trivia
