Guilds
Guilds are a group of three or more Magi that work inside or outside of a city or village. Guilds function in a strict group mentality, though not as strict as the Magus Order. Guilds consisting of Dark Magi have to be in smaller groups due to the risk of getting caught and turned in.
Structure of a Guild
For every Guild, there is a leader that not only keeps the Guild in check, but also has the full responsibility of putting together missions.
In order for a Guild to be certified by the Archmagus. Guilds not certified by the Archmagus yet function as such are called Rogue Guilds.
If a Guild member breaks a law or the Code of the Magus Order, they are to be taken to the Magus Order where they will be put on trial, and there, they will decide whether or not the Archmagus will strip the criminal of their powers. As for the Guild itself, if the Archmagus sees that it is no longer fit to function without said member, they will de-certify the Guild, leaving the members on separate terms. If they see that it will likely redeem and correct every wrong in said Guild, they will appoint a new leader if the criminal was a leader, or rearrange the system within the Guild.

Known Guilds
Dark Magus Guilds
Dark Magus Guilds are much smaller in comparison to Guilds certified by the Magus Order. Unlike those Guilds, they do not hold certification from the Magus Order, though they tend to hold copies or faked documents of certification to avoid detection from other Guilds, authority, or the Magus Order itself. Some of the largest Dark Magus Guilds are divided into branches, or sub-Guilds.
Dark Magus Guilds operate differently from Guilds certified by the Magus Order. The leader of the Dark Magus Guild will either make their own rendition of the Code of the Magus, or not adopt the Code at all. Punishments vary greatly, depending on the leader's discretion. For most Dark Magus Guilds, the leader's word is law.

Rogue Guilds
Rogue Guilds are Guilds who are neither yet certified by the Magus Order nor have they have their certification revoked, yet still operate within their own terms. They can consist of exiled Magi who join Magi who may or may not have any affiliation to the Magus Order or any Dark Magus Guild. They retain some parts of the Code of the Magus, though not as strictly as those affiliated with the Magus Order.
